How to Cancel a Higgsfield Subscription (And What Happens to Your Credits)

TL;DR — To cancel Higgsfield, open Manage Account, go to Subscription, scroll down to Plan Settings, open Manage Subscription, click Show, and choose Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next charge from happening, but it doesn't send your current payment back. Your regular subscription credits stay active until the billing period ends, and then they expire permanently.

Here's the direct guide on how to stop your plan and keep track of your remaining balance. There's no guesswork here: every step is laid out below.

Cancel it in five clicks

Here are the five steps to cancel an individual account:

  1. Click your avatar and click Manage Account.
  2. Open the Subscription tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Plan Settings section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Open Manage Subscription and click Show.
  5. Click Cancel Subscription.

We don't hold a paid Higgsfield subscription, so these steps come from Higgsfield's own help centre, quoted above.

Higgsfield's help centre page titled How do I cancel my subscription, listing the Manage Account path and the credit rules Higgsfield's own cancellation page, 24 August 2026. The path in the first paragraph is the one below.

Your plan won't shut off right away. It stays active until the end of your current paid period, then your account moves to the free tier, and Auto-Refill stops triggering.

Cancelling won't delete your account or your past generations. Higgsfield notes that older content may move to cold storage if an account stays inactive for a long time, but it isn't deleted. You can resubscribe at any time from the Pricing page.

Cancelling a Team or Scale plan takes a form

If you run a Team or Scale plan, you can't cancel through the simple self-serve menu. You have to submit a cancellation form instead.

First, navigate to Manage Account, open Organization, choose Manage Subscription, and click Cancel Subscription. Then fill in the Subscription Cancellation Request Form and submit it.

Only the workspace Owner has permission to take these steps. After you submit the form, Higgsfield sends a confirmation email to the inbox linked to the workspace account.

What happens to your credits

Here's what happens to each credit type when your billing period ends:

  • Subscription credits: These stay active until the end of your paid period, and then they expire permanently.
  • Credit Pack credits: These lock without an active plan, but become accessible again on reactivation as long as the 90 days haven't run out. The 90-day timer keeps running while you're cancelled.
  • Auto-Refill credits: Same rule as Credit Packs.
  • Boost Credits: Same rule as Credit Packs.
  • Promo credits: These are unavailable without an active plan, and they expire if their expiry date passes while your account is inactive.

Cancelling is not a refund

It's easy to read cancel as a refund button, but it isn't one. As Higgsfield states on its cancellation help page: "Cancellation and refunds are separate processes: cancelling stops future charges but doesn't return money."

Who can actually get a refund

As Higgsfield's help page explains: "Refund eligibility is binary: if any credits have been used, a refund can't be issued, regardless of how many credits remain."

You must meet all three conditions at once:

  • You send the request within 7 days of the first charge (or longer where local law needs it).
  • You've used zero credits from the plan.
  • The charge is your first payment, not an automatic renewal.

Renewals are never refundable. Credit Packs, Auto-Refill charges, and Exclusive Offers that add credits follow this same 7-day, zero-credits rule. Exclusive Offers that open up access or features are non-refundable once access is granted.

Logging in, looking at interface tools, or browsing models doesn't count as credit usage. Free generations and Unlimited model generations don't deduct credits either, so using them won't hurt your refund chances.

What you get back, and what it costs

To ask for a refund, contact Support with your account email, purchase date, charge amount, and a short reason. Processing takes up to 3 business days, and Higgsfield deducts a service fee of up to 6%.

An approved refund cancels your subscription immediately, moving your account to the free tier right away. Higgsfield points to Section 9.3 of its Terms of Use for the complete details.

If you're in the EU or the UK

Consumers in the EEA and UK hold a 14-day right of withdrawal after they buy under local consumer law. This right ends early once you start using digital content from that purchase, such as spending credits or generating.

If you withdraw after access begins, you pay for the part already provided. To use this right, send an email to support@higgsfield.ai. Approved reimbursements are returned within 14 days to the original payment method.

The two times Higgsfield refunds anyway

Higgsfield lists two specific exceptions where it issues refunds outside its standard zero-credit policy. As Higgsfield states, "These are the only exceptions."

The first exception happens if Higgsfield significantly degrades a paid plan or shuts down a paid feature entirely. In that scenario, you can cancel and receive the unused portion of what you paid back.

The second exception occurs if Higgsfield closes your account through no fault of your own. If that happens, unused subscription fees and unused purchased credits are refunded, excluding promo credits.

Before you go: it might be the plan, not the platform

If you're cancelling because you dislike monthly commitments or rigid credit limits, you aren't stuck with standard AI video lock-in. You can use Seedance 2.5 AI Video Maker on Seadanse alongside seven other modern generation systems.

Our billing keeps things simple: cancel anytime, and your drip continues to the end of the period you paid for. Plan credits expire at the end of each 30-day cycle and don't roll over. Extra credit packs stay valid for 12 months, meaning they last for a full year without vanishing, and they're spent after expiring plan credits.

A one-time top-up pack costs $9.9 for 500 credits, and you can buy top-ups to run Seedance 2.5 without a subscription. Every tier gets equal model access, so check what each plan includes across our lineup. Every plan runs Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1, Wan 3.0, Hailuo 3, Grok Imagine 1.5, Nano Banana 2, and GPT Image 2.

Questions people ask

Will cancelling Higgsfield delete my past video generations? No, cancelling simply moves your account to the free tier at the end of the paid period, leaving your past generations intact.

Can I get a refund if I used only one credit? No, Higgsfield's refund policy is binary. If you use even a single credit, you lose all refund eligibility regardless of how many credits remain in your balance.

What happens to my top-up Credit Pack balance if I cancel? Your Credit Pack balance becomes unavailable while your subscription is inactive. If you resubscribe before the 90-day validity window expires, you'll access those credits again.

Can I try AI video generation elsewhere without adding a credit card? Yes, Seadanse gives new accounts free starter credits with no card, so you can start there immediately.
