8 Best Artlist Alternatives in 2026
Looking for Artlist alternatives? We compared 8 options for music, stock footage, and AI video generation based on pricing, licences, and limits.

TL;DR — Artlist bundles music, stock footage, and AI video into one monthly plan. If you only need one of the three, you're paying for tools you don't use. Epidemic Sound and Soundstripe cover music alone, Envato Elements and Storyblocks cover stock footage, and Magnific and Seadanse let you make clips without paying for a library you don't touch.
You're probably paying for Artlist right now and using a third of it. If you only download music or stock clips, you're still paying for 47 AI video models every month.
When you cancel, Artlist's cancellation terms say your licence won't cover downloaded stock files in new projects once your plan ends, and your monthly AI credits reset each cycle.
Here are eight alternatives grouped by what you want to replace. We run Seadanse, which is number eight on this list.
The eight at a glance
| Tool | Best for | Entry price | Key limitation | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Epidemic Sound | Music and sound effects alone | $9.99/mo billed yearly | No footage, no video generation | 4.5 |
| Envato Elements | A licence that outlives the plan | $16.50/mo billed yearly | Only 20 AI credits a month on the entry tier | 4.5 |
| Storyblocks | Unlimited stock downloads | $21/mo billed yearly | Music only from the $30 tier up | 4 |
| Motion Array | Templates, presets and plugins | $15.99/mo | AI is voiceover only | 4 |
| Soundstripe | A smaller cleared music catalogue | $9.99/mo | Music and sound only | 4 |
| Magnific (formerly Freepik) | An all-in-one AI subscription | $14.50/mo billed yearly | Video generation is one tool among many | 4.5 |
| Pexels and Pixabay | Spending nothing | Free | Everyone else is using the same clips | 3.5 |
| Seadanse | Generating the shot instead of licensing one | $9.9 credit pack, no subscription | No music, sound or stock library at all | 4 |
How we picked: every price and feature in this table comes from that vendor's own pricing page, read on 24 August 2026. Ratings cover plan terms, licence terms and what each one includes. They do not cover output quality, because we did not test generation on any of these platforms.

What to look for in an Artlist alternative
Does the licence survive cancellation?
When you cancel Artlist, your licence no longer covers using downloaded stock files in new projects after your plan ends.
Envato Elements gives you a lifetime commercial licence for all stock assets and AI generations. If you want a stockpile of clips you can keep using after you stop paying, check this rule first.
Do unused credits survive the month?
On most monthly plans, your unused credits are gone when the month rolls over.
Artlist's credit documentation states that monthly credits reset every cycle without rolling over. In contrast, Magnific's credits stay valid for a year, and Seadanse gives you 12 months on any credit pack you buy.
Are the AI models current?
Bundled sites give you lots of models, but they don't always give you direct control over your shot.
Artlist's AI Toolkit connects to 47 video models. Tools like the Seedance 2.5 generator focus on custom aspect ratios, image references, and clip length instead of catalogue size.
Are you paying for halves you don't use?
Artlist's Max Pro plan costs $39.99 a month billed yearly, or $79.99 month to month.
If you only need background tracks for YouTube, you're paying for stock footage and AI models you'll never open. Sites like Epidemic Sound and Soundstripe strip out the footage so you only pay for audio.
Epidemic Sound — best for music and sound effects alone
Epidemic Sound is an audio site built for tracks and sound effects.

- Stands out: Every tier gives you 250,000 monthly credits for track changes and up to five hours of voiceover.

Ultimate is $168 a month billed annually (or $259 month to month) for up to 2,000 credits and ten generations at once.

Motion Array — best for editors who live in templates and plugins
Motion Array is a post-production site that focuses on editing templates, presets, and software plugins.
Plans cover one user, with unlimited downloads and a licence for any type of project.

Soundstripe — best for a smaller, cleared music catalogue

Magnific (formerly Freepik) — best all-in-one AI subscription
Freepik now trades as Magnific, and freepik.com/pricing sends you to magnific.com/pricing. It combines a huge library of 250 million photos, vectors, PSDs, and videos with built-in AI generation tools.
It's made for creators who want traditional design files alongside AI image and video tools.
- What it is: A design library with over 250 million files and full AI generation tools.
- Stands out: Magnific's credits roll over with no monthly resets and stay valid for a full year — "Credits valid for 1 year, no monthly resets". That beats Artlist's reset policy and matches our own credit validity terms on Seadanse.
- Price: Premium is $20 a month, or $14.50 a month billed annually, with a commercial AI licence and 240,000 credits a year. Premium+ is $45 a month, or $33.75 a month billed annually, for unlimited models and 600,000 credits a year.
- Limitation: It's a broad graphic platform, so video generation is just one tool inside a large suite.

Pexels and Pixabay — best free option
Pexels and Pixabay are free stock directories that host clips, photos, and illustrations.

Seadanse — best for generating the shot instead of licensing one
Seadanse is our browser-based AI video platform.
Instead of hunting for stock footage that almost fits, you can generate the shot on Seadanse from text prompts, reference images, and video clips.
- What it is: A browser tool to generate AI video clips with Seedance 2.5 and nine other models.
- Stands out: You can set resolution to 480p, 720p, or 1080p, pick lengths of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds, and use six aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9). Audio is on by default, and the prompt box holds 10,000 characters. You can use reference images and clips, though not audio files.
- Price: Check the Seedance 2.5 pricing page; you get free starter credits on sign-up without a card, or you can buy a $9.9 credit pack with no monthly subscription. Credits last 12 months, and failed jobs are refunded automatically. Models include Seedance 2.0 AI Image to Video, Hailuo 3, Wan 3.0, Veo 3.1, Kling O3, Grok Imagine 1.5, Nano Banana 2, and GPT Image 2.
- Limitation: We don't have a music vault or a stock footage library. If you pay Artlist for stock media, this replaces the wrong half of your plan. Also, we offer 10 models while Artlist lists 47 video models.
Generated with Seedance 2.5 on Seadanse.
How we picked these
Every price and feature here comes from each vendor's own page, read on 24 August 2026. We compared plans, licence rules, cancellation terms, and credit rollover policies.
We didn't test output quality on any of these platforms, including Artlist. We also run Seadanse, which is number eight on this list.
Which one should you pick?
If you only need audio, drop your bundled plan and move to Epidemic Sound or Soundstripe. You'll cut your monthly bill and get tracks cleared for your channels.
If you rely on stock footage, templates, or plugins, choose Envato Elements, Storyblocks, or Motion Array. Envato Elements is best if you want a lifetime licence that protects your work after you cancel. If you have zero budget, check Pexels or Pixabay first.
If you want to create original shots instead of searching through stock clips, try AI video. You can explore the Seedance prompt library to see how prompts work.
You can try the Seedance 2.5 AI Video Generator with free starter credits on sign-up, or buy a credit pack when you need more.
