Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what Seadanse ("we", "us") collects when you use seadanse.com (the "Site") and the AI video generation service it provides (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

By using the Service you agree to the handling of information described here. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Account information. Your email address. If you sign in with Google we receive the name, email address and profile picture on that Google account. We never receive your Google password.
• Prompts and uploads. The text prompts you write and any images you upload as a reference, a first or last frame, or a motion source.
• Generated content. The videos and images the Service produces for you, kept in your account so you can find them again.
• Support messages. What you send us when you contact support, including the email address you send it from.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, renders submitted, credits spent, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type.
• Log data. IP address, request timestamps and error traces, kept for security and debugging.
• A device signal for abuse prevention. We compute a browser fingerprint to detect duplicate accounts claiming free sign-up credits. It identifies a browser, not a person, and we use it only for abuse checks and rate limiting.
• Cookies and similar technologies. See "Cookies" below.

Information we do not collect

We do not receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code — payments go directly to Stripe. We do not collect biometric identifiers, and we do not run facial recognition on the images you upload.

What we use it for

• Providing the Service: running your renders, delivering the output, keeping your library, and metering credits.
• Managing your account and authenticating you.
• Taking and reconciling payment, and preventing payment fraud.
• Preventing abuse: detecting duplicate accounts, automated sign-ups and attempts to circumvent limits.
• Support: answering your messages and investigating problems you report.
• Improving the Service: understanding which features are used, where people get stuck, and what fails.
• Sending service email — sign-in, receipts, expiry notices, and material changes to these policies. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and any marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
• Meeting legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the processors below, and only to the extent each one needs.

AI model providers

Your prompts and uploaded images are sent to the provider that runs the model you chose so that your render can be produced. Depending on the model this may be apimart, KIE or MiniMax. We send the minimum required — the prompt, the uploaded media and the render settings. We do not send your email address, your name or your account identifier with a render request.

Each provider handles the data it receives under its own terms, which we do not control. If you would rather a particular provider not process your input, choose a model it does not serve, or do not use the Service for that content.

Other processors

• Stripe — payments, subscriptions and invoices.
• Resend — sending transactional email.
• Cloudflare — serving and protecting the Site, and the Turnstile challenge that keeps automated traffic off the generation API.
• S3-compatible object storage — storing uploaded media and generated output.
• A managed PostgreSQL database — your account, credit balance and render history.
• Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement.
• Microsoft Clarity — product analytics, including session recordings that capture pointer movement, clicks and scrolling on the Site. Clarity masks text input by default. If you would rather not be recorded, see "Your choices" below.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate a serious breach of our Terms of Service or to protect someone from harm.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for three things:

• Necessary — keeping you signed in, remembering your locale and theme, and carrying the anti-abuse challenge. The Service does not work without these.
• Analytics — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, as described above.
• Preferences — remembering choices you have made in the composer.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will break sign-in and generation.

How long we keep it

• Account data — while your account exists, and for a short period afterwards to handle billing disputes and legal obligations.
• Prompts, uploads and generated content — while your account exists, or until you delete them.
• Payment records — as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years.
• Logs and analytics — a rolling period, normally no more than 26 months.

Deleting your account removes your account data and your library. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you may be retained.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority.

• Access, correct or delete — write to [email protected] and we will action it. Account deletion is permanent and removes the renders in your library.
• Opt out of session recording — Microsoft Clarity honours the browser Global Privacy Control signal and Do Not Track setting; you can also block clarity.ms at the browser or network level.
• Opt out of analytics — block analytics cookies in your browser settings.
• Unsubscribe from email — use the link in the footer of any non-transactional message.

International transfers

We and our processors operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including in jurisdictions with different data protection law. Where such a transfer happens we rely on the safeguards our processors have in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information: encryption in transit, access control on our infrastructure, and payment data held entirely by our payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials to yourself, and tell us at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.

Children

The Service is for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information we will give notice on the Site before it takes effect.
