Outstanding Tiny Desk AI is the AI video trend built on the song "Outstanding" as it closes a famous Tiny Desk concert, where people recast the band with their own people while the original sound plays. People search for it as the Outstanding Tiny Desk AI template, the Outstanding Tiny Desk AI video and the Outstanding Tiny Desk video.
"Outstanding" is a song by the Gap Band, written by band member Raymond Calhoun, from the 1982 album Gap Band IV. Lead singer Charlie Wilson fronted the track as it climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart in February 1983. NPR Music posted "Charlie Wilson: Tiny Desk Concert" on June 5, 2023, and "Outstanding" is its closing number. Tiny Desk Concerts have delivered NPR Music's stripped-down live sets behind an office desk since 2008.
On October 18, 2026, the TikTok account @theburnerfromhe11 posted an AI version, an "All-Loss Tiny Desk" with five college football coaches whose teams had all lost that Saturday as the band, and it passed 2.3 million views. The Athletic, part of The New York Times, wrote about it on October 23, 2026. People then made their own with more coaches, team legends, streamers and friend groups.
Every version keeps the same room, the same five shots and the same sound, and only the people change. That leaves you with the fun job of casting: who gets the close-ups, who gets the sax solo, and who sits at the keys.
Seadanse gives you our Outstanding Tiny Desk AI template with the five shots, the cuts on the beat and the original "Outstanding" sound already set up. On October 18, 2026, the TikTok account @theburnerfromhe11 posted an AI version called "All-Loss Tiny Desk" with five college football coaches whose teams had all lost that Saturday, and it passed 2.3 million views. People now make their own versions with friend groups, teams and characters, and our Outstanding Tiny Desk AI template is ready for your photos today.
Each photo stays in the seat you pick. Photo 1 is the lead singer, the only one in both close-ups. Photo 2 is the sax player, the only one in the sax solo. Photo 3 is the keyboard player, front and centre in both band shots. Photo 4 is the backup singer on the left and photo 5 is the backup singer on the right.
One photo gives you the spotlight. One photo makes you the lead singer in both close-ups, while our built-in band members play the sax, the keyboard and backup vocals. Any seat without a photo gets a built-in band member with the same look every time, and one photo or five photos cost the exact same price.
You get five distinct shots cut on the beat of the original "Outstanding" sound. The video starts with the opening close-up of the lead singer nodding into the groove, moves to the band shot at the red keyboard with two backup singers behind, and cuts to the big laughing close-up where the lead singer throws their head back and sings straight into the camera. Next comes the sax solo in profile, followed by the closing band shot.
Yes. You can put your own crew in the seats, whether that is your watch party, fantasy league, rec team or office coworkers. Pick who sings lead, who takes the sax solo and who sits at the keys. Everyone plays in the clothes from their own photo, so team jerseys, hoodies and suits step right onto the stage.
No. The five shots, the beat cuts, the office desk set and the original "Outstanding" sound are already built into our Outstanding Tiny Desk AI template. The tool runs directly in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install. Add your photos and press Create.
Yes. A cartoon character, anime character, game character, AI-made character image or pet can join the band. A character turns the whole video into its visual style, including the band and the room. Put a pet at the red keyboard and it sits up with its paws on the keys.

One $9.90 credit pack covers a 720p or 480p video, while 1080p uses 2,500 credits from the $39.90 pack.
