Gangnam Style AI is the AI video trend where three friends film a selfie on a lit city square at night and sing along to the "Gangnam Style" song: the one holding the phone sings up close while the other two dance behind, then the phone whips to each friend's solo turn and back, and all three wave goodbye. People also call it the Open Gangnam Style trend, the Gangnam Style AI trend, the Gangnam Style trio and Oppa Gangnam Style AI.
"Gangnam Style" is a K-pop song by the South Korean singer PSY, released on July 15, 2012. It debuted at No. 1 on South Korea's Gaon Chart and peaked at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and on December 21, 2012 its music video became the first YouTube video to reach one billion views. The name is a Korean coinage for the lifestyle linked with Seoul's Gangnam District.
The trend copies a real selfie video of about 20 seconds: three friends singing along to the "Gangnam Style" song at night on a big city square. On October 19, 2026 the first AI remakes appeared on TikTok, and one by @bikonyavamm passed 3.6 million views. The same day @yapayzekaserisi began remaking it with film-character trios, which passed 1.3 million, 1.1 million and 676,000 views. People now remake it with their friend groups, their pets and character trios.
People make their own with three photos, one for each friend: the one holding the phone, the friend on the left and the friend on the right. You can use friend groups, pets and character trios. The square, the turns and the whip pans stay the same.
Seadanse builds the trio selfie, the night square and the "Gangnam Style" song into our Gangnam Style AI generator. Add one photo, or up to three, and get a 20-second landscape 16:9 video for TikTok and Reels, the full trend from the first selfie to the wave goodbye. The AI puts your three into the trend video's own shots and places. With fewer photos, your friends are made to match.
