AI hug video generator FAQ
What is an AI hug video?
An AI hug video is a short video that AI makes from photos to show two people hugging. On Seadanse, one photo of you and one photo of them become a 6-second video at 720p or 480p of the two of you sharing a warm cheek-to-cheek hug.
Is AI hug free?
Yes. Sign up free with no card to get 40 starter credits, enough for one AI hug video at 480p. Each video costs 80 credits at 720p or 40 credits at 480p, as one flat price per resolution. Visit the Seadanse pricing page to see all subscription plans and credit packs.
How can I make two photos hug with AI?
Upload your picture into the Your photo slot and the other person's picture into the Their photo slot, with one person in each picture. You need no collage and no photo editor. Click create to get your 6-second video.
Can I use one photo with both people in it?
Our AI hug uses two separate photos with one person in each photo. When both people are in one picture, crop each person into their own photo first before you upload them.
Will we both still look like ourselves?
Yes. Each person's face and hair carry over from their own photo, and the outfit carries over too when the photo shows it. For the best look, pick photos with one person in each picture, a clear face in good light, framed from the waist up or head to toe.
Do I need to write a prompt?
No. The hug is built in, so both people stand side by side in a sunlit living room, hugging cheek to cheek and swaying together. You can add one optional line of your own words to name another place for the hug. To write a whole scene yourself, use our AI video creator to prompt every video model on the site.
How long is an AI hug video, and what size is it?
Every AI hug video runs for 6 seconds at 720p or 480p, with 720p as the default. You can pick vertical 9:16 or horizontal 16:9, and download the clip as an MP4. Paid plans give you downloads with no watermark.
How do I do the AI hug trend on TikTok?
Upload your two photos, keep the default vertical 9:16 setting, and click create. Download your 6-second MP4 and post it straight to TikTok, Reels, or Shorts.
Can I hug my younger self with AI?
Yes. Put a current photo of you in the Your photo slot and a childhood picture in the Their photo slot. Our AI hug brings the two photos together into a sweet video of you embracing your younger self.
Are my photos safe and private?
Yes. Seadanse runs no facial recognition on your photos and collects no biometric data. The platform never sells personal information, and your uploads stay in your account until you delete them. Paid plans keep your videos private, and you can review our privacy policy for full details.
Do I need an app to make an AI hug video?
No. Our AI hug generator works directly in your web browser. You only need to sign up with an email address, and there is nothing to install.
Can I make an AI hug photo instead of a video?
Yes. The Nano Banana 2 image generator on Seadanse creates a still image from a prompt plus up to 14 reference photos. Use this page whenever you want a moving hug video.
